Cedric and Angie van Duyn lead a church in Gig Harbor, Washington (Seattle, USA). They are dear friends of our house, carrying a long and meaningful history with us.
Cedric shares from Ezekiel 37—looking at what it means for dry bones to become a body. He looks at the accountability of living tendons and muscles that hold us together, and to the posture of a dry-bones heart in need of renewal.
He speaks a better word over those who feel empty, weary, or brittle in spirit and those who have been mishandled or hurt by the institution of church. We trust that where ever you are listening that you’d feel the Holy Spirit rest on you.

The Restoration Mandate: From Burnt Stones to Living Stones
By Cedric Van Dyne.
It is one thing to see a valley of dry bones; it is another to realize you are the ones called to breathe life into them. As I waited on the Lord for Freedom House, I felt a specific “download” regarding the mandate on this house. It is a Restoration Mandate.
Reassembling the Scattered
The Lord is calling back the “burnt stones.” In Nehemiah’s day, the enemies mocked the Jews, asking if they could bring stones back to life from “heaps of rubble” that had been burned.
Freedom House is called to be that place.
- The Scattered: Dry bones scattered across this region will find reconnection here.
- The Burnt: Those buried and forgotten in spiritual rubble will be rejuvenated into Living Stones.
- The Controlled: Those who have suffered under the “spirit of religious control” will find in this church a counterbalance—a place to let go of the complexity and abuse of the past.
The “Cave of Adullam” Ethos
In the Bible, King David gathered a group of men at the Cave of Adullam. They were in distress, in debt, and discontented. They were the “misfits.” Yet, under David’s leadership, those misfits became Mighty Men.
I believe Freedom House is called to this same raw, radical, and relational ethos.
- It is a respite from “professional ministerial reality.”
- It is a family where we say, “We don’t know what to do with you yet, but come in, and let’s figure it out together.”
In this place, grace isn’t just a doctrine; it is an anointing that reverses decades of darkness almost instantly.
The Trumpet and the Power Surge
During the service, two specific prophetic “sounds” were released:
1. The Trumpet Anointing
There is a “trumpet” voice being activated—a sound that is impossible to ignore. For some, it will be irritating because of its frequency and frequency, but it will penetrate the consciousness. It is a reminder that there is no retreat and no retirement in the Kingdom. The voice will get louder and louder until the very last day.
2. The Power Surge
Many feel that their “glory days” are behind them. You remember when God used to flow through you, but now you feel exhausted, like a “fizzled out” context.
The Word: The best is NOT behind you.
The Lord is releasing a power surge of life to pull people out of the “deep waters” of discouragement. If you have been a dry bone in the process of reconnection, this is your moment of reactivation.
Your Reformation
Just as the Dark Ages were broken by the revelation of justification by faith and grace, your personal “dark ages” are being broken today.
- Wounded warriors are being restored to fight again.
- Abused followers are becoming pure-hearted leaders.
- The Disqualified are being drafted into the front lines.
